Joseph A. Shaeiwitz is a Fellow of AIChE and ASEE. He has published numerous papers in outcomes assessment and in chemical engineering design. Joe is a co-author of the textbook Analysis, Synthesis, and Design of Chemical Processes, second edition published by Prentice Hall in 2003. He is an associate editor of the Journal of Engineering Education. Joe has served as the program chair and the division chair of the Chemical Engineering Division of the ASEE. He has also served as program chair for the Undergraduate Education Area and the Education Group of AIChE. Joe is also an ABET program evaluator in chemical engineering, a member of the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET, and a member of the AIChE Education and Accreditation Committee.
